Good afternoon:) Day 3 of the “Journey to 11,000” finds us taking a trip into the Spider-verse. In the process of writing the book, I worked at reconnecting and collecting pieces that over time, I had to part with for various reasons. One such item was the 2014 Diamond Select / EMCE Toys limited edition deluxe Spider-Man reproduction set.
So much I could unpack from this story but in a nutshell, it’s as amazing as Peter Parker’s alter ego how far things have come technologically since then. The big thing in this post is how one of the “annoying” aspects of this awesome set is how one would need to secure a couple extra bodies to flush out the extra bodies needed to complete the other two parted out figures in the pack.
More a matter of patience and extra cost being the annoyance factor. Truly not a big deal and a 100% first world problem, but still. Fanboys, myself included, grumbled about it.
Fast forward 11 years and that issue is resolved thanks to a 3D model scan from Funky Maclunkey, some TPU filament and printer from Bambu Lab and my never ending love of learning, creating and adding to my “skill stack” I share with you another expression of my Spark in action and made manifest by enhancing organic creativity and connection in the age of AI and social media.
Now, Go Play, true believers 🙂
